Memory of darker skin, a body taller and broader than his own, Mohinder knows what is behind her eyes. She closes them with a sigh as he grazes his fingers along her cheek. He doesn't speak. His voice will only distract.
They're not seeking comfort, every reminder is punishment. Niki lifts him, with no sign of effort in her expression or the fingers around his neck. Soon Mohinder's feet don't touch ground, and the back of his head hits concrete wall, his body singing with pain. Teeth bite into his shoulder.
