Most Favorite Mohinder Scenes Poll

In January 2008, I conducted a poll among Mohinder Suresh fans on LiveJournal asking which of his scenes in Heroes were their favorites. The poll included 20 scenes from seasons one and two, and gained 200 votes from roughly 70 fans who were allowed to vote for up to three scenes each. Below are the results and some of the reactions, for your amusement and reference.

Here's what some of you had to say about some of the other scenes you voted (or nearly voted) for. Because we all know that Mohinder's awesomeness can hardly be contained to mere three scenes!

seasonal statistics

The poll contained 12 scenes from season one and 8 scenes from season two. Mohinder was in 18 episodes of season one and 10 episodes of season two (not counting voice overs), meaning I picked .67 (12/18) scenes per episode in season one and .8 (8/10) scenes per episode in season two. There is already a bias there, since I chose more scenes from season two than one, but let's see how you voted.

A very slight win to season one. But considering both #1 (41 votes) and #2 (16 votes) are from season one, one might say season two had a very good over-all quality of Mohinder scenes that it was able to catch up!

interaction statistics

Because let's face it, this is fandom and fandom comes down to pairings. :P However, in this case I simply devided the scenes by "who Mohinder is interacting with", regardless of any romantic or sexual text or subtext. I also excluded some scenes that I interpreted as centered less on interaction as on Mohinder himself (funeral, Haiti, both FYG scenes). There is some overlap; e.g. the kitchen scene in 2x11 'Powerless' can be seen both as a Sylar scene and a Molly scene.

In conclusion, we like Mohinder when he's with Sylar very, very much. The testemonials from you guys make me believe that Mohinder being badass and owning Sylar in their interaction is a large part of what causes this popularity. I'm personally very surprised about the lack of popularity for the HRG scenes, but this might be a sign that I was biased and perhaps too over-ambitious in my choices, since I personally enjoy the snark they have and their tension in 2x09. Apologies! I honestly didn't think he'd lose out to Thompson. *waves mopson flag*
