Which I've now deleted because it was embarrassing and spazzy. To my defence, it was early and I had just woken up and it was bombarding me.

Basically what it was about was that this pic killed me ded with moe and I got a news alert in my inbox saying Sendhil Ramamurthy and Zachary Quinto from Heroes showed up late and then disappeared and who wouldn't spazz over that especially at seven in the morning, so I think that's a good excuse.

I've been fiddling around with the heroes_rps community layout and making banners, and it looks like this now, but Anna said it should perhaps be a comic, so I also did a comic!banner.

I found this on my HD while looking for some other files. I think I wrote it for a Heroes meta site I was thinking of making in Japanese. Some of the things I say overlaps with the other RPS meta entry I wrote a while ago. Mostly archived here for my own reference, and seeing as I wrote this in April, I don't necessarily agree with everything here anymore (such as SR being the nervous, compensating type. I think he's just bored by interviews, as most other people).

Feeling all the moe in the world but not having any fic to read in order to put this moe into a concrete shape is really very frustrating.

When did I become so reliant on fic, anyway? Oh, who am I kidding ... I'm an addict. I admit it. I crave it. Someone give me fic. My moe will overwhelm and devour me if I get no fic. Fic! Fic! Fic!!!

(I am, of course, talking about Heroes RPS.)

Ela said I should just go kill myself, and she's probably right. This can't be healthy or sane. Grr.

Yesterday I was thinking I ought to make a blog for talking about RPS and only RPS because it was getting to a point where it was the only thing I could think or talk about, and now I'm even more seriously considering the idea because 87% of my brain is at this very moment occupied by one thought:

I have a presentation in an hour. I'm already creeping out my course mate (he's sitting across from me right now, having lunch) by smirking and giggling at the drop of a hat while he discussed Krashen.

Unrelated, but the remaining two episodes of Dexter have been leaked, and being the person I am, I'm downloading them. But this means that after next week's Pushing Daisies, I won't have a single US TV show to watch! Wah!

Because I neeeeeeeed bigger versions of probably-just-got-up!Sendhil reading the paper on the plane, and hyper!Sendhil jumping up and down to get a better look across the crowd. And Zach needing a drink at 9am. And Grunny in general. And Ali being pretty and smiling and cute.

Unrelated: my bunny seems to have found a new challenge in life, namely jumping up on my light table (slippery and slanting because it's, you know, a light table) and staying there as long as is possible. The record seems to be two seconds now. I ... don't get the fascination, and the noise woke me up this morning gah.

ETA: So, I wonder, where does "homage" and "reference" end and plagiarism start? No, I haven't belatedly come to the CC plagiarism debate; I just started reading through the entries of the mylar_fic rapid-fire drabble challenge (Ca should patent that, btw. It's an awesome idea). Though I have to say, the one I'm thinking about is eerily similar to the CC case. Is a "spot the reference lolol!!!" in the author's notes seriously a good enough disclaimer for borrowing ideas? Because in my mind, that just makes it worse.

ETA2: Seriously. Really, really, seriously. I fucking love and adore the people in my classes. It's the only reason I don't want to drop this. Because they rock. I just wanted to write that down.

I've noticed that I feel apprehensive about writing about RPS here. I'm not sure exactly why. Some months ago I conducted a survey asking people what they most enjoyed reading on this blog, and while RPS wasn't the most popular choice (that was Heroes) a fair share of people did click it, and seeing as I've been obsessed with ZQ/SR for months now I'm assuming that most of you visiting don't actually mind it too strongly (or are willing to ignore it when it comes up), and yet ... every time there's something RPS-related I want to talk about, I seem to run to mail, IM, or LJ comments.

I think it's partly the stigma of RPS in itself, but it's probably more about how this particular RPS fandom is so small. I feel singled out and exposed, which I don't do at all when talking about, say, Sylar/Mohinder, because there are literally hundreds of other people who ship it and talk about it on a daily basis, I'm just a bushery in a large forest. Whereas ZQ/SR ... geez, I'm lucky if I get an entry about that pairing once a week on my flist. Really lucky. I'm not complaining about that, as such, I don't mind that it's not as huge as mylar; I just dislike being, er ... noticed. And most of all I dislike putting my opinion out there and having no one counter it, making it look as though my opinion is the only one that exist and therefore the default. It makes me even more self-conscious than I already am.

(Which is a really weird thing to say for the girl who used to be one of, like, three people in the world to regularly write that pairing, but I was desperate for it to just exist at that point, so it doesn't count.)

But anyway, what I wanted to say was: I want to change that. Because I really, really want to talk about it. I adore this pairing so fucking much. Talking about it in private is great fun and I wouldn't trade it for the world, but I want to be able to write up an entry to this blog about those guys whenever the mood strikes me. So I will. Just so you're warned. I'll try to warn and cut it, but if it jumps at you, sorry. And I'll be crude. Because I am, about those guys. They're adults and I like to imagine them fuck in various interesting ways, it's sad but it's fact, and I'll talk about that. Or at least try.

So. Well. Erm. I made icons today?

I was looking through some old, unfinished and unpublished entries on this blog, when I saw myself say something I had since completely forgotten about again:

This is an RPS post and probably in really bad taste, too, as it involves family members and speculations about the sexuality of the actors involved. In that Psych episode about the comic con guest starring George Takei, there was a running joke about something that happened to Takei at a con in San Antonio. Every time the town was mentioned I was, of course, reminded of Sendhil, which was quite distracting and must have left an impression on me, because ... I don't remember it clearly, but I think I had a dream this morning about Sendhil and repeat mentions of San Antonio. I think it may have been something about him pretending to be totally Indian for some odd purpose (comedy?), and every time he did it, Zach would smack him and say, "You're from San Antonio!"

That would be a funny fic. I desire to read it.

In other news, Amanda is convincing me that I probably could write Sendhil/Marat Safin without completely butchering the character of Safin. (I don't think she's right, but she's very good with the "You can't butcher it more than tennis fandom already does!" argument.) I also need to write Z/S in early-90s London, but I haven't been feeling very writy-writy lately. Meep.

ETA: So I finished season one of Psych and all I have left to watch is yesterday's episode, the season two finale. I can't decide what to watch next. I'm slightly tempted by Torchwood because half my flist seems to watch it, but 1) Captain Jack isn't my type, 2) Owen looks like a crossdressing woman, 3) I'm not that desperate for weekly doses of mankissing, and 4) I couldn't get into Who. Hm. Any suggestions? Nothing Stargate related, please and thank you, and I don't feel like John Simm. And nothing Japanese unless they've decided to do a PGSM sequel. (Geez, I'm picky!)
